Erectile Dysfunction and Nutrition - 8 Surprising Effects of Honey
If you suffer from erectile dysfunction you'll be amazed at the effects honey can have on your sexual wellbeing. Honey has always been associated with love and sex, and finds an important place in literature. It is mentioned in the Bible, and has been known as an aphrodisiac as far back as 500BC. Hippocrates, considered one of the greatest figures in the history of medicine, was known to prescribe honey for sexual vigor. The Kama Sutra, an ancient Indian work on sex life, praises the benefits of honey. It has long been a traditional part of Indian weddings and even today the bridegroom is often offered honey to boost his stamina. Avicenna, a great Persian physician of the 11th century, considered honey to be "the food of foods, the drink of drinks and the drug of drugs", and prescribed honey mixed with ginger and pepper as a sexual stimulant.
In fact the word 'honeymoon' is derived from an old Viking tradition in which newlyweds, in their first month of marriage, would drink a daily cup of honeyed wine, called mead. The Vikings considered mead to be a fertility enhancer and aphrodisiac.
And there appears to be a scientific basis for the idea that honey is good for sex. Research has show that a 3 ounce dose of honey can increase nitric oxide levels in the blood by up to 50%. Nitric oxide is the chemical that is released during arousal, and is responsible for causing the blood vessels in the penis to dilate. When the tissues are dilated or relaxed, this allows increased blood flow into the penis, causing an erection.
Honey has been used by many people over the ages as a general tonic or a medicine. The Ayurveda system uses it profusely in all its medical preparations. Honey, when used appropriately or combined with other food items, can promote growth and regeneration of body tissues and strengthen even a healthy body. Since it contains several anti-oxidants, it makes it vital to our overall health. In addition, it has the following beneficial effects on our sexual health:
1) Honey has the most potent aphrodisiac power to improve your sex life since the bees gather nectar from aphrodisiac flowers such as jasmine, orchids or marjoram.
2) Pure and unheated honey is a mild natural sexual stimulant, since it contains numerous substances such as zinc, vitamins B and E which promote virility and reproductive health. It is also easy to metabolize, and as it is a sugar, it provides our bodies with sustained high levels of energy.
3) The vitamins in honey also boost testosterone production, while the boron in honey helps the body to use estrogen, which is important for sex arousal.
4) A mixture of honey and grounded garlic taken regularly at bed time gives a stimulating effect that increases sexual stamina and pleasure.
5) Honey has been found as a sperm booster. It can provide lasting remedy for men with a low sperm count problem. It can boost the sperm count from level zero to a fertility level of over 60million count. Regular intake of honey can increase the production of sperm cells and also the quality and motility of the sperm cells.
6) Honey mixed with boiled onion juice (two tablespoons taken twice a day for at least a month) will assist in combating weak erections.
7) Home remedies of South India suggest that taking honey mixed with ginger or garlic juice and raw egg before bed time every night can increase sexual virility.
8) Researchers say that certain properties in raw honey can boost the testosterone level in men, which in turn will increase your libido!

Manuka Honey is a rich nourishing honey that contains remarkable health properties and is an ideal ingredient for skincare. Whilst opposed to typical honeys, Manuka is far superior. The antibacterail iand ati oxidant properties which are present in standard honeys are easily broken down when confronted with external enzymes with this these components are diminished easily. This special honey on the other hand is a lot more stable and its composition is maintained and so its effectiveness is far superior.
This is what has made Manuka Honey a great popular option in skin care. Though we do need to understand of which these products are only an easier substitute within the application of the product and a not better in any respect.
Though this Honey is a remarkable ingredient if we look at that at present it's in its purest form it is being utilized to its greatest effect. All through hospitals which is what made Manuka Honey prominent for the treatment of what many people might identify as incurable diseases and antibiotic resistant infections it is only this powerful natural honey of which is being utilised. The Amazing Manuka Skin Balm
By employing a couple of common house hold ingredients we can construct an excellent skincare treatment which will really help in softening any hard skin areas. All we will require is a teaspoon of vegetable oil plus a teaspoon of lemon juice and of course a teaspoon of our special ingredient. You may desire to increase or decrease these measurements reliant on the amount you will need.
Simply blend to form a paste like texture and rub on to any hard regions of skin allow to immerse for approximately 10-15 minutes after that wash off with warm water. This is primarily a very good treatment for more robust skin areas. Brilliant for cracked heals and just hard skin in general give it a try and I'm sure you'll obtain benefits.
The Awesome Manuka Facial Toner
We do get a bit serious this time and break out the mixer and making a combination which will be pleasant enough to eat. But hey this isn't a cooking show. Take one apple, peel it and chop into pieces leaving the core. Place into the food processor along with one teaspoon of Active Manuka honey Blend until a smooth texture is achieved after that applies to a clean face. Again allow this to soak into the skin for approximately 10-15 minutes then rinse off with cold water. This will leave the skin feeling superbly toned and smooth.

Raw Honey Dangers
With the current wave of going natural and organic, many people have opt for raw, unprocessed food. Naturally many people thought that having raw honey is best for health. Do you know that you raw honey may cause danger to you?
This may shock you as it did me. I have no clue at all that something as nutritious as raw honey can post a health risk. Don't be unduly alarm though, as long as you know what it is then you can take the necessary precaution.
The main reason why there could be health risk is due to the fact that raw honey has NOT been processed at all. There is no filtering, no heating or pasteurising. So can you imagine what could be in the honey?
Unprocessed honey that is taken from the bee hive can have remnants of spores from flowers, bits of comb, wings of bees etc. This by itself is okay. However, there is a potential that it got "contaminated" with clostridium botulinum spore. When this happens, when there is no oxygen, the spores starts to germinate and produce toxin which is deadly. With the amount that is present, it may not affect adults but it can be harmful to infant.
This is so serious that the American Academy of Pediatrics and National Honey Board recommended that raw honey should NOT be fed to infant less than twelve months. They may develop infant botulism which can be fatal. When a baby who is less than a year old contract infant botulism you can see the signs of constipation, growing weak and having difficulty when sucking, crying and breathing. The medical implication is very serious and if diagnosed positive they have to be warded in intensive care unit for at least a month.
Does infant botulism happen often? No it doesn't. Is eating raw honey the only cause? No, the botulinum spore can be in the air or on earth. Why focus on this is because eliminating it from the baby's diet probably is one step that we can do actively.
Apart from infant botulism, another potential danger is that it is possible that the flowers from which the honey is made is poisonous to human or the flowers are sprayed with chemicals. So in this case the reliability of the source of honey is important. There are ratings given by government agencies which will show the quality of the honey produced.
